Due to popular demand, we have added an additional show to our farewell tour for our fans in Northern Germany at one of our favorite clubs and very much look forward to returning to the Downtown Bluesclub in Hamburg on October 7. There will only be a total of 300 tickets to this show. It is recommended to secure them in advance. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow (July 3) at 10:00 am (CEST).
The Night Train to Budapest Tour is going into the final round, and with it, the Henrik Freischlader Band. In October, there will be another 17 club gigs on the tour schedule; after that, the band will cease to exist.
10 years on the road take their toll. Some time to breathe and rest, and some to explore new artistic paths – whatever it may be – a hiatus is needed, and anything that will happen after that will surely be something different.
You have given us a lot. Without you as our fans it wouldn’t have been 10 years by any means. We look forward to the final summer festivals and a beautiful farewell tour with you!!
We’re very pleased to present to you a good old buddy as our new drummer for the remaining tour dates this year: Dirk Sengotta! Many of you probably still remember him. Back then, we as a trio were playing at bars – a marvelous time! We’re happy to welcome this exceptional drummer back.
Our dear friend and drummer Björn Krüger has got new plans!
In the future, he would like to spend more time with his family and take care of his many music-educational projects. Life on the road with its constant touring and being away from home doesn’t fit in with this anymore. We regret this very much, but we understand this much more! “Björn, we will miss you very much! Your humor, your kindness and warmth, and your musicality will be missed, but of course we will only lose you on stage, other than that, you will remain our best friend!! We wish you the very best! Your Crew.”
